DAI is searching for experienced organizations to offer strategic communications support to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Digital Frontiers mechanism. Digital Frontiers works with different USAID Missions and Bureaus in 37 countries. Its activities include: testing approaches to closing the gender digital divide; driving women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship; increasing cybersecurity awareness; strengthening ICT policy and governance; working on digital literacy and digital financial services; supporting capacity building within USAID; and integrating digital tools and technologies into agriculture programs.

Due to the scale and variety of communications needs of these activities, Digital Frontiers seeks to develop a network of communications firms with a diversity of experience and communications skills that Digital Frontiers and/or USAID can easily access to meet immediate and long-term communications support needs.

Firms should demonstrate expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Strategic communications and branding
  • Content development and graphic design
  • Knowledge management and analytics
  • Marketing and press
  • Event management
  • Videography and photography
  • Website and social media management
  • Other communications skills

Digital Frontiers is a $74.4 million buy-in mechanism available to USAID Bureaus and Missions from 2017-2022. DAI implements the Digital Frontiers project, which works closely with USAID Missions and Bureaus, the private sector, and international and local development organizations to identify successful and sustainable digital development approaches and scale their impact globally.
